乾教授と岡崎准教授がデマ分析やツイッター分析についてわかりやすく解説している様子です。

2014.11.11 電気系サッカー大会 ベスト8進出 / Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics Soccer Top 8 Advancement †

7月23日の一回戦を1-0，8月29日の二回戦を2-1で突破しベスト8進出を果たしましたが，11月11日の三回戦を1-2で敗退しました．

中尾研・木下研との3研究室合同チームで参加し，乾・岡崎研究室からはスミット・小林・村岡・稲田・高瀬・代勤・杉浦の7名が出場しました．

Our lab's soccer team won the first match on the 23rd of July with a final score of 1-0. In the second match on August 29th, our lab progressed to the top 8 by winning 2-1. However, on November 11th, we lost the third match with a final score of 1-2.

2014.9.8-10 読書会を開催しました / Reading Circle †

夏の締めくくりとして、近接する学問分野に親しむことを目的とした読書会を開催しました。 本年度は言語学における意味論を主題に据えた英語の文献を三日間で集中的に読み、語彙の構造に対する言語学からのアプローチ、述語論理に基づいた文の意味の形式的な表現などについて理解を深めました。 活発な議論も行われ、非常に有意義なものとなりました。詳細は以下のページをご覧ください。

With the end of summer soon approaching, we decided to hold a reading circle over the course of three days. The selection this year was John I Saeed's Semantics, Third edition. Overall, the reading circle was quite effective and created many significant discussions. Please view the link below for more information.

2014.8.5-7 日英サイエンスワークショップ / UK-Japan Science Workshop †

東北大学で日英サイエンスワークショプが行われました。乾・岡崎研究室には、日本人の高校生３人とイギリス人の高校生２人の計５人が訪れ、機械翻訳のしくみを体験しながら、前日に訪れた磐梯山のWikipedia記事を協力して英語に翻訳しました。

A UK-Japan Science Workshop was recently held here at Tohoku University. A total of 5 students(3 Japanese high school students and 2 British students) visited the Inui-Okazaki laboratory and experienced the fundamental mechanisms of machine learning and translated the Wikipedia page for a mountain the students visited the day before, Mount Bandai, into English.

2014.7.30-31 オープンキャンパスが開催されました / Open Campus †

2014年7月30日-31日の二日間、入学希望者や地域の方々を対象にしたオープンキャンパスが開催されました。乾・岡崎研究室では、研究成果のデモンストレーションやパネル展示をおこないました。

Open campus was recently held for two days (7/30 and 7/31) for students. During this time, Inui-Okazaki laboratory held various demonstrations which captivated almost every student who visited.
